Forms numerous large flowers of rich burgundy color with a velvety texture ("velour"). Long-lasting flowering. Flower size 5-7 cm.
Excellent resistance to adverse weather conditions. Perfect for hanging baskets, flowerpots, and balcony boxes.
Agrotechnics.
The plant is light-loving, drought-resistant, grows well on any nutritious soil. When growing seedlings, sowing is carried out in February-March. Seeds are slightly pressed into the soil (do not cover with soil!). The planting container is covered with glass and placed in a lit place. At a soil temperature of +18°C, shoots appear on the 14-20th day. Seedlings are pricked out in the phase of 2 true leaves. Seedlings are planted out after spring frosts have ended. To get the perfect plant in a basket, the petunia bush must be shaped by pinching the shoots.

* Growing petunias from seeds is not difficult at all, because their germination rate is remarkable.
Petunia seeds are very small, so for convenience, they are produced in pelleted form: fungicide, fertilizers, and growth stimulants are applied to the surface of each seed - all that remains is to properly prepare the soil and grow the seedlings.
SOWING DATES FOR HYBRID PETUNIA.
All hybrids have a high growth rate, so there is no need to sow them too early. Sowing seeds can be done from the beginning or middle of March until April 5-10. In this case, it will no longer require additional lighting. If you are impatient and decide to sow it in February, be sure to use good supplementary lighting, otherwise, the seedlings will stretch out and be weak.
SOIL FOR PETUNIA.
For sowing petunias, you can use ready-made peat pellets or soil made from equal parts of sand (or vermiculite), peat, and humus. The soil needs to be sifted and disinfected by steaming.
SOWING CONTAINER.
The best containers are those with transparent lids (mini-greenhouses). A small hole for ventilation must be made in the lid.
SOWING PETUNIA SEEDS.
Put drainage at the bottom of the container, then soil (3-4 cm). Moisten the soil. Make shallow furrows. Place the pellets at a distance of 3 cm from each other using tweezers (do not cover with soil!).
Spray with water so that the pellet softens, and cover with a lid. Place in a bright place at +23+25°C. Shoots appear on the 4-5th day.
SEEDLING CARE.
As soon as shoots appear, lower the temperature to +14+16°C during the day and +10+12°C at night. Ensure maximum light.
To prevent thin stems from falling, gently "hill them up" with a toothpick. For the first 2-3 weeks, water seedlings very carefully, along the container wall or into the tray, to avoid waterlogging.
PRICKING OUT (TRANSPLANTING).
Prick out petunias into separate cups (200 ml) as soon as the seedlings have 2 pairs of true leaves. After pricking out, keep in the shade for 2-3 days, then move to light.
CARE AFTER PRICKING OUT AND SHAPING.
Feed once every 7-10 days with complex fertilizer. In the phase of 5-6 true leaves, seedlings must be pinched (cut off the main stem above the 5-6th leaf) for better bushiness. Side shoots can also be pinched after the 3-4th leaf.
Hardening off is mandatory: before planting out, take the seedlings out into the open air.
PLANTING OUT.
Petunias are planted when the threat of frost has passed. The place should be sunny, the soil nutritious and loose. Distance between plants 30-40 cm.
OUTDOOR CARE.
Regular watering, weeding. Removal of faded flowers stimulates new flowering. Spreading (Ampelous) petunias require frequent feeding: in planters - once every 5-7 days, in the ground - once every 20-30 days.
